Chopsticks

A little girl wanted to become a great pianist, but all she could play on the piano was the simple little tune, "Chopsticks. " No matter how hard she tried, that was the best she could do. Her parents decided after some time to arrange for a great maestro to teach her to play properly. Of course, the little girl was delighted. When the little girl and her parents arrived at the maestro's mansion for the first lesson, they were escorted by the butler into the parlor, where they saw a beautiful concert grand piano. Immediately, the little girl dashed over to the piano and began playing "Chopsticks. " Her embarrassed parents started across the room to tell her to stop, but as she played, the maestro entered the room and encouraged the little girl to continue. The maestro then took a seat on the piano bench next to the little girl, listening to her play. After a moment he began to play along with her, adding chords, runs, and arpeggios. The little girl continued to play "Chopsticks. " The parents couldn't believe their ears. They were hearing a beautiful piano duet, played by their daughter and the maestro, and amazingly enough, the central theme of it was still "Chopsticks. " At times you may feel like you're nobody, that you will never accomplish great things. But think of that little girl. All she could play was "Chopsticks. " Nobody wanted to hear "Chopsticks. " It was an embarrassment to her parents and annoying to everyone else. Yet the maestro encouraged her to keep on playing. God knows what you can do. He created you with gifts and talents. Sure, compared to some people's abilities, your gifts and talents may seem like "Chopsticks" -- not very original and not very spectacular. But God says, "Keep on playing--and make some room on the piano bench for Me." God is able to take the little that we are able to do and turn it into something beautiful for Him.

Conversation between GOD and ME

Some inspiring thoughts........
Conversation between GOD and ME
God : Hello. Did you call me ?
Me: Called you? No.. Who is this ?
God : This is GOD. I heard your prayer. So I thought Iwill chat.
Me: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actuallybusy now. I am in the midst of something. God : What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.
Me: Don't know. But I cant find free time. Life hasbecome hectic. It's rush hour all the time. God : Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivitygets you results. Activity consumes time. Productivityfrees it.
Me: I understand. But I still can't figure out. By theway, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instantmessaging chat.
God : Well I wanted to resolve your! Fight for time,by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wantedto reach you through the medium you are comfortablewith.
Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
God : Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis iswhat makes it complicated .
Me: why are we then constantly unhappy?
God : Your today is the tomorrow that you worriedabout yesterday. You are worrying because you areanalyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's whyyou are not happy.
Me: But how can we not worry when there is so muchuncertainty?
God : Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying isoptional.
Me: But then, there is so much pain due touncertainty. .
God : Pain is inevitable able, but suffering isoptional.
Me: If suffering is optional, why do good peoplealways suffer?
God : Diamond cannot be polished without friction.Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people gothrough trials, but don't suffer. With that experiencetheir life become better not bitter. Me: You mean to say such experience is useful?
God : Yes. In every terms, Experience is a hardteacher . She gives the test first and the lessonsafterwards.
Me: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why cant we be free from problems?
God : Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks OfferingBeneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Innerstrength comes from struggle and endurance, not whenyou! Are free from problems.
Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don'tknow where we are heading..
God : If you look outside you will not know where youare heading.Look inside. Looking outside, you dream.Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heartprovides insight.
Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt morethan moving in the right direction. What should I do?
God : Success is a measure as decided by others.Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowingthe road ahead is more satisfying than knowing yourode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others workwith the clock.
Me: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
God : Always look at how far you have come rather thanhow far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing .
Me: What surprises you about people?
God : when they suffer they ask, "why me?" When theyprosper, they never ask "Why me" Everyone wishes tohave truth on their side, but few want to be on theside of the truth.
Me: Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here. I cantget the answer.
God : Seek not to find who you are, but to determinewho you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as towhy you are here. Create it. Life is not a process ofdiscovery but a process of creation.
Me: How can I get the best out of life?
God : Face your past without regret. Handle yourpresent with confidence. Prepare for the futurewithout fear .
Me: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers arenot answered.
God : There are no unanswered prayers. At times theanswer is NO.
Me: Thank you for this wonderful chat.
God : Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear . Don'tbelieve your doubts and doubt your beliefs. Life is amystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust me.Life is wonderful if you know how to live. "Life isnot measured by the number of breaths we take but bythe moments that took our breath away!

3 hairs

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?" So she did and she hada wonderful day.The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?" So she did and she had a grand day.The next day she wok up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did and she had a fun, fun day.The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YEA!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"Attitude is everything.Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. We will also become heroes....

We will also become heroes....
Once, many years ago, I pulled a family out of a burning car somewhere in the middle of Wyoming. Last week I received a telephone call from a woman who could not stop crying as she told me that one of my stories had saved her son from committing suicide. In closing she called me “a hero.”
That got me to thinking about what a hero really is. Was I a hero because I pulled a family from a burning car? If so, how could I be a hero just because I wrote a story that saved someone’s life?
Today I decided to look up the word “hero” in the dictionary to see exactly what it meant.
It read “A person who does something brave.”
As I read on it also said “A person who is good and noble.”
That statement impressed me more than did the part about being brave.
That got me to thinking about something very important. Say I was walking into the local Wal-Mart Store and I happened to open, and hold the door for someone as a courtesy. As they passed me by, I say “How are you today?” Most of the time that would be no big deal, but this time lets say it was for someone who is deeply depressed and near the end of the rope. That may have very well be the only kindness or courtesy show to them in a very long time.
Having been near the “end of my rope,” after my marriage of twenty years ended, I was in such a condition. I was within hours of trying to get up enough nerve to end the pain and misery. When I returned home someone had sent me a card in the mail which told me how much they appreciate me as a friend. That wonderful card probably saved my life. That person, without even knowing it, saved a life and became a hero.
I went on to write many stories which last week saved the life of a teenage boy. In turn that makes the person who sent me the card a double hero.
I suppose that is why I fight so hard to help the children now living in orphanages. Most children come out of these institutions with a very hard and vindictive attitude against the world. The gifts we send them let them know that they have not been forgotten. Hopefully, most of them will never hurt anyone because of the kindness shown to them by those of us who cared. If it works we will also become “heroes.”
Gee, who would have every thought that anyone can become a hero, and possibly save a life, just by being kind and courteous to others? The best part of all is that becoming a “hero” is free to all who wish to wear such and honor.

It was a sports stadium.

It was a sports stadium. Eight Children were standing on the track to
Participate in the running event. * Ready! * Steady! * Bang !!! With the sound of Toy pistol,
All eight girls started running . Hardly have they covered ten to fifteen steps,
One of the smaller girl s slipped and fell down,
Due to bruises and pain she started crying . When other seven girls heard this sound,
Stopped running, stood for a while
And turned back,
They all ran back to the place where the girl fell down. One among them bent, picked and kissed the girl gently
And enquired 'Now pain must have reduced'.
All seven girls lifted the fallen girl, pacified her,
Two of them held the girl firmly
And they all seven joined hands together
And walked together and reached the winning post. Officials were shocked.
Clapping of thousands of spectators filled the stadium.
Many eyes were filled with tears

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF CHRONIC KIDNEY FAILURE

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF CHRONIC KIDNEY FAILURE
Your kidneys are vital for the excretory process of wastes in thebody. As you know, these waste buildups are excreted as urine. Whenthe kidneys job of cleaning blood toxins and waste productsdeteriorates, "Chronic Kidney Disease" occurs.
Mostly, kidney failure occurs in asymptomatic patients. Risk ofsudden death is also counted.
In a small market, we gathered blood and urine samples of 100 peoplewho claim to be healthy. Surprisingly, 22 people were suffering fromchronic kidney disease, and 37 people were in need of special medicalattention for kidney disease! Only 41 people were considered normal!
Why the majority of kidney disease victims did not notice theirdeclining kidney function?
In the case of Mr. A at 32 years old, he felt sudden severe headacheand palpitation. He seek medical attention and was diagnosed withkidney disease. He had to go through a strict diet. However, after 6years of hard life, he is now forced to undergo kidney dialysis. Inmost cases of kidney disease, renal impairment is almost irreversibleand has a small chance of recovery.
EARLY SYMPTOMS OF KIDNEY DISEASE
As the kidney function decreases, symptoms will appear like headache, weakness, dizziness, and low level of urination. Anemia, hypertension, and frequent urination can also be counted. In manycases, there are no signs of such symptoms at all.
According to medical information, apart from high blood sugar levels, high blood pressure, eating fatty and salty foods, stress, cigarettesmoking, and bacterial infections can cause kidney disease. Also, hard work or hard athletic exercise increases the blood flow and thekidney cannot accommodate filtering the blood. It's also bad to takea lot of milk or other sports drinks that might produce too muchprotein as it may cause reduced kidney function.
Early detection of kidney disease can be done by urine test. At home, you can simply use urine test strips. If the result is not asexpected, then, consult your doctor.
We have a news magazine written about two Japanese pro-wrestlers whonever thought that they are suffering from kidney disease.
A popular pro-wrestler, packed with muscle and power, in his finalmatch, lost and carried to a hospital. His sidekicks and doctorsthought that the wrestler had some internal injuries occurred duringhis fight. But medical test showed unexpected kidney disease withhim. The wrestler was sent for immediate surgical operation, but thedamage was too serious. He never regained from kidney disease. Afterfew days, the wrestler was gone.
Kidney disease is too dangerous, and could lead to death without anysymptoms. Another popular pro-wrestler was losing recently for allhis fights. To regain power, he had to eat a lot of meat and drink alot of milk. One day, after his fight, he was also rushed to ahospital. Medical test showed that he was suffering from an advancedstage of kidney disease. He and his family never imagined that kidneydisease was killing him. He is now under dialysis.

Could you send back the bear.....?

Could you send back the bear.....?
Once upon a time there lived a bear in a cave deep in the woods. Nearby was a
meadow in which a farmer kept his cattle -- and one large, ferocious-looking bull.
Each day the bear hid at the edge of the woods, watching the bull. The bear was
known as the strongest, most fierce creature for miles around. No other beast
in the forest dared to tangle with him. As the bear watched the bull peacefully
gazing, he wondered which one of them would win a test of strength.
He thought about this for many days. Then one morning he decided to challenge
the bull to a fight to the finish. The bull had just chomped down on a fresh clump of clover when he looked up and saw the
bear barreling across the meadow toward him. He stopped chewing. The red
flag of danger popped up in his head. The bear skidded to a halt in front of him.
The bull lowered his head menacingly, his sharp horns aimed right
for the bear's throat. For long moments they stood in place
-- eyeball to eyeball -- neither one of them moving.
Finally the bull grew tired of the stare-down and asked, "What do you want, Bear?" "I want to fight you," growled the bear. "Why?" asked the bull. "Because, I want to prove that I am a stronger and better fighter than you are." The bull laughed. "I thought you really wanted something. You can't possibly win against me.
I have sharp horns that can cause terrible injuries." "And my claws are sharp and quick," the bear shot back. "I have defeated many an enemy
-- anyone who would harm my cubs or take away my mate. I am the king of the forest!" "Then go back to the forest," the bull bluntly advised. "This is the meadow." The bear blinked in surprise. "I beg your pardon..." "I mean, what's the point of me fighting with you?" the bull asked. "What would that prove?
We are not enemies. I have not harmed your cubs or taken your mate." "It would prove that I am the strongest." "Okay," said the bull, smiling. "I'll buy that. You are strongest. Now leave and
let me graze in peace." "Just one cotton-pickin' minute. What do you mean by that?" The bear raised a
club-like paw. "I will tear you to shreds. Defend yourself." "What you do is up to you," the bull answered calmly.
"But if you do, what will all your friends -- the ones who are watching us right now -- think about you?" "They will think that I am the strongest," yelled the frustrated bear. "I don't think so. I do not choose to fight you just because you choose to fight with me.
I would only fight to defend one of the cows in my care. If you attack one of them,
then I'd be obliged to give you a good lashing." "I can't attack them," protested the bear. "They can't fight back. There would be no victory to it." "Exactly," answered the bull. "But what if you did? And what if I should try to defend them?
What if something should happen to me? Who would protect them then? You?
Would you trust me to protect your cubs if something happened to you?
What would happen to your family if you lose the fight?" "I never thought of that," said the bear. "Go back into the woods, Bear," said the bull as he turned to walk away.
"Live in peace. And I will stay in the meadow and do the same." The bear turned toward the woods. He had come spoiling for a fight --
to prove which one was the strongest.
But he had learned an important lesson from a very wise bull. In peace, there are no losers.

What goes around comes round! How True

What goes around comes round! How True

One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.
Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.
He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was those chills which only fear can put in you.
He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.'
Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.
As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.
Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way. He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, 'And think of me.'
He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.
A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan.
After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.
There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: 'You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.'
Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.
Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard.... She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, 'Everything' s going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.' There is an old saying 'What goes around comes around.' Today, I sent you this story and I'm asking you to pass it on... Let this light shine.

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."
"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.
"No", she replied. "He's out."
"Then we cannot come in", they replied. In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. "Go tell them I am home and invite them in!" The woman went out and invited the men in"
"We do not go into a House together," they replied.
"Why is that?" she asked.
One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."
The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"
Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"
"Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice," said the husband to his wife. "Go out and invite Love to be our guest." The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."
Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?"
The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!!!"

MY WISH FOR YOU....
-Where there is pain, I wish you peace and mercy. -Where there is self-doubting, I wish you a renewed confidence in your ability to work through it. -Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I wish you understanding, patience, and renewed strength.. -Where there is fear, I wish you love, and courage.

The Ripple Effect

The Ripple Effect

The Master was walking through the fields one day when a young man, a troubled look upon his face, approached him. "On such a beautiful day, it must be difficult to stay so serious," the Master said. "Is it? I hadn't noticed," the young man said, turning to look around and notice his surroundings.
His eyes scanned the landscape, but nothing seemed to register; his mind elsewhere. Watching intently, the Master continued to walk. "Join me if you like." The Master walked to the edge of a still pond, framed by sycamore trees, their leaves golden orange and about to fall. "Please sit down," the Master invited, patting the ground next to him.
Looking carefully before sitting, the young man brushed the ground to clear a space for himself. "Now, find a small stone, please," the Master instructed. "What?" "A stone. Please find a small stone and throw it in the pond."
Searching around him, the young man grabbed a pebble and threw it as far as he could. "Tell me what you see," the Master instructed. Straining his eyes to not miss a single detail, the man looked at the water's surface. "I see ripples." "Where did the ripples come from?" "From the pebble I threw in the pond, Master." "Please reach your hand into the water and stop the ripples," the Master asked.
Not understanding, the young man stuck his hand in the water as a ripple neared, only to cause more ripples. The young man was now completely baffled. Where was this going? Had he made a mistake in seeking out the Master? After all he was not a student, perhaps he could not be helped? Puzzled, the young man waited.
"Were you able to stop the ripples with your hands?" the Master asked. "No, of course not." "Could you have stopped the ripples, then?" "No, Master. I told you I only caused more ripples." "What if you had stopped the pebble from entering the water to begin with?"
The Master smiled such a beautiful smile; the young man could not be upset. "Next time you are unhappy with your life, catch the stone before it hits the water. Do not spend time trying to undo what you have done. Rather, change what you are going to do before you do it."
The Master looked kindly upon the young man. "But Master, how will I know what I am going to do before I do it?" "Take the responsibility for living your own life. If you're working with a doctor to treat an illness, then ask the doctor to help you understand what caused the illness. Do not just treat the ripples. Keep asking questions."
The young man stopped, his mind reeling. "But I came to you to ask you for answers. Are you saying that I know the answers?" "You may not know the answers right now, but if you ask the right questions, then you shall discover the answers." "But what are the right questions, Master?"
"There are no wrong questions, only unasked ones. We must ask, for without asking, we cannot receive answers. But it is your responsibility to ask. No one else can do that for you."

Anger

Anger is like a devil. Anger is the greatest enemy of man. When anger seizes a man, he is like one who has drunk alcohol. Under its influence he is prone to do so many things for which he will repent later. Whenever we get angry, we must take the warning and feel that we have made a mistake and should never repeat it again and again.
When we sit silently for prayer, we should bring before us our weaknesses and failings and submit them before the Supreme Power. This act will wash them away.

Anger is the reason for most misery in this world. Most people in Jails the World over are there becasue they did not know how to manage anger and committed something unsocial in a fit of anger, or over a long nursed anger over something historical.
I read many articles on how to manage anger, how to fight anger etc.
But the one that worked best was as follows...
Whenever you are angry, don't fight the anger, do not count till 10, do not do any of these.... instead try to analyze what is making you angry...just stop and think ' Why am I angry?'
The answer will surprise you and in most cases it will be because of some weakness or shortcoming of your own, of may not be, but the very act of trying to analyse will make your anger disappear.
Just remember, that all humans were born in families, cities and circumstances that were not chosen by them, then they inherited a gene pool with certain traits, and then they went to schools and colleges where they did not choose their co-students etc etc.........but all these factors influenced their character and behavior pattern.
Their own contribution to what they are is very minimal, most of it is chance, so if anything feel sorry for someone (instead of feeling anger).
Also if you go into the history of anger, let me see.... when we were in the Jungles we were confronted with life threatening situation time and again. We evolved in such a way that the fear factor in a situation released a chemical in our blodd stream known as Adrenalin. Once under the influence of the substance (intoxicated) it was so required that we should have a sudden gust of energy (to fight the situation) and we should stop reasoning (need of the moment is to just fight) and also feel less or no pain. But if you go back, the very reason we have this release of Adrenalin is because we had fear. Fear of something is the cause for anger. It is our own weakness.
So stop getting angry. Forgive all and you shall be forgiven.

A wonderful story-very interesting to read

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."
"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.
"No", she replied. "He's out."
"Then we cannot come in", they replied.
In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.
"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"
The woman went out and invited the men in"
"We do not go into a House together," they replied.
"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."
The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."
Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?"
The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!!!"
